I teach third grade at a diverse Title I school in southwest Florida. Our students come from numerous cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. My students speak English, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, and Chinese! Through lots of hard work, our school continues to help our students succeed.
My students all have their own lanyards to collect reward buttons for various activities in the classroom.
I purchase a variety of mini buttons and give them out for 100% scores on tests/quizzes, good behavior, and special times like when students accomplish goals.
My Project
This incentive has worked well for me for several years, but...
I would like the buttons to be more personalized and meaningful for my students.
For this project, I am requesting a button maker and a circle hole punch tool. I would like to let my students create their own designs or choose from themed designs related to computer programs or websites that they enjoy or use daily. For example, I like to reward my students when they reach certain goals on a computer program we use daily (IReady). There are fun characters in the program that would make great button designs! A button maker will allow us to make buttons with any designs we choose!
The button maker includes 300 refills, which should last a long time!
Thanks for helping me create motivating incentives for my students!
