My Students

Can you imagine being an ESL or Special Education student and not having the resources and supplies you need to be successful and engaged? Can you imagine not having the ability to support all the needs in your class? My sixth-grade ESL and Special Education students need the supplies necessary to teach students with diverse needs.

I am a teacher in a public school that is located in an urban district.

I am an ESL/Special education teacher who will be working with students with English Language Learners as well as students who need educational support within an inclusion and general education classroom.

I will be traveling from classroom to classroom and need the supplies necessary to make sure that all my students have the resources they need! My inclusion classroom embraces students who not only have varying levels of English to students with all levels of special education services. This project will make it possible for me to support all of my students.

My Project

A grade-level Math IXL membership will empower and encourage students to reach mastery in math both in school and at home.

Students can learn at their own pace while being monitored by their teachers.

Teachers can use this tool as a way to pull small math groups by skill or it can offer groups of students independent practice so that teachers can work in small groups or one-on-one.

This will be an engaging way to fill in learning gaps, offer reinforcement of newly learned math concepts, as well as provide enrichment opportunities for students who are at or above grade level.
