This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Pre-K is all about cooperative learning. I want to set up meaningful and engaging play centers in my classroom so students can work together, collaborate, and problem-solve independently. I am hoping to use these floor cushions, dot markers, alphabet cones, and pet vet center to set up a cozy reading corner, a literacy play center, a painting area for free artistic expression, and thematic dramatic play areas that can be rotated based on our literacy unit.

The goal of Pre-K is to promote a lifelong love of learning.

Play-based centers allow students to learn in a way that feels like just play! They will also learn how to resolve conflict, share, and emotionally regulate, setting them up for success in school for years to come.
