My Project

This school year is the first year of expanded transitional kindergarten at our school! My students will enter as 4-year-olds and turn 5 by February 2023. My students learn best through play and dramatic play is an important part of our curriculum.

Our new language arts curriculum integrates thematic dramatic play into reading rotations.

The materials in this project will help create dramatic play areas focusing on a doctor's office, a vet's office, a pizzeria, a bakery, and a home.

The children will be able to practice their expressive and receptive language, creative thinking, problem-solving, self-regulation, cooperation, and sharing.
