Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students require academic support in order for them to be successful. Every day they overcome obstacles, and they make sure they are present to school. We are located on the tip of South Texas. When they come to my classroom I can see their enthusiasm for learning!

My Project

As a special education teacher, students from different classrooms come into my classroom for assistance. Due to the pandemic we are currently going through, the air purifier will help them feel safe as they come into my room to learn.

After every class, we disinfect the desks, materials and make sure they use hand sanitizer often, but I feel there's so much we can do.

My district provided air purifiers to the office and nurse's station, but not where students spend most of their day.
