I teach in sunny California where children come to virtual school each morning ready to learn and grow! There's never a dull moment in our class. My students are eager to learn, engage, experiment and participate in the activities planned for the day.
Now more than ever, my preschool students need instructional materials to engage with to foster their interest in technology, literacy, math, science, art, and engineering.
They also need instructional materials to support their social-emotional learning to help them grow into well-rounded individuals.
Every single one of my students deserves the opportunity to have his/her potential nurtured and fully developed. My little ones have an insatiable curiosity. It's imperative to have a variety of instructional materials to meet their educational needs.
My Project
Dear donors, my students need animal puppets to learn the alphabet letter names and sounds. During this Covid-19 pandemic, I've had to find creative ways to attract and keep the attention of my young students during our Zoom class.
The use of the few puppets that I have has captivated my students' attention and supported the retention of new concepts.
Please help me give them a variety of new animal puppets to be used during the Letter of the Week lessons. As I use the puppets, the children will see animals whose name starts with the letter of the week. They will also learn the letter sounds as the animal puppets say words that start with the letter of the week.
These fun puppet activities will help facilitate the retention of skills as students will be looking at an animal that is sure to foster their attending skills during literacy and phonics lessons.
