Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In Kindergarten one of our toughest standards to learn is retelling stories and explaining who the characters are. The kids freeze up when asked who the characters are.

With puppets my students not only meet their standards, but have a great time doing it.

Even my shy students get involved.

Puppets make learning fun and engaging. I can assess students without them even knowing it or feeling the stress of an assessment.

We will use the pocket charts as well to practice learning our letters and retelling our stories with pictures.
