Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a wonderfully diverse group of learners that sometimes come from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a new teacher, I want to give them a wonderful classroom experience by providing them with tools, resources, and a fun classroom environment to enhance their learning. Additionally, I want to make the classroom environment fun and engaging for them, so I want to make sure the room is bright, beautiful, and has various visual elements that appeal to their learning.

My Project

Not many of my students can afford to celebrate the Fall season because of economical reasons. My students may not be able to buy crafts nor pumpkins, so I want to provide that experience for them! These students miss the arts because they no longer have art classes in the 5th grade. These students love working with their hands and they have creative ideas that should be explored. I want to purchase foam pumpkin craft kits, construction paper, and acrylic paint with brushes to give them a variety of experiences when it comes to expressing themselves through art! These kids deserve to have these experiences!
