Pulling for One at a Time and Screen Prints

Help me give my students the printmaking supplies needed to learn screen printing techniques. Having the Caydo screen printing squeegees will allow my students to play, experiment, and master pulling ink through their designs.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are curious and inquisitive about how thoughts and ideas can be translated visually. They are always eager to experiment with a new material and see how a process is used in a variety of ways from commercially to philosophically. Students become empowered as they gain experience and are encouraged to further develop their work an ultimately create a portfolio.

Students especially light up when they realize how design and visual art has always been around them and is no longer seen as a unapproachable content area.

As a Visual Art teacher, I am always blown away by the results I receive once projects are submitted. Through visual art, students are able to reflect and heal from possible traumas.

My Project

The supplies gifted to my students will further their knowledge of materials and what kind of purposes different tools may be used for.

The requested supplies will be used for lesson related to the design stages.

Students will explore the design cycle from start to finish, producing shirts, cards, logos and other forms of graphic products. The students will start by brainstorming and sketching out their ideas. Their final design will then be transferred from a sketch into color form.

The gouache and micron pens will allow the students' color scheme to be explored and refined. Once complete, the students will be able to screen print their work into a multitude of printed formats.
