Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our second-grade class is made up of little new learners. Students are composed of English Language Learners and students with disabilities in a low socioeconomic area.

Having a printer in the classroom would allow the students to type their writing projects and print them directly in the classroom.

This would save them a trip to the library or looking for another place to publish their work. It would also lessen the burden on the teacher from trying to get all the copies done alone.

Students are learning about the writing process and allowing them the opportunity to outline, write several drafts, edit, publish, and then print their work to display in the classroom would help motivate them throughout the school year. In addition, the printer would allow them to print their designs or images to attach to their work.

As a teacher, having a printer in the classroom would also give me the ability to print resources immediately to help my students with their specific needs.
