Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The use of ink is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in writing. Using computers in writing, students go through the writing process and end with a publishing party. During that time children showcase their published writing pieces. Many children have different home languages. It is a time when they are also able to translate their thinking and learning and share with the class. Without the ink for our printers, we will have fewer opportunities to be inclusive of all languages. By having ink, students will be able to increase engagement, become leaders in their writing, and share their writing.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and achievement, but you will ultimately help to increase their confidence.

Students will be able to simply focus on the academic work and not on whether their materials are going to work or not. Plus in this technology-literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
