My Students

Many of our students come into our school not speaking English, with limited access to extra-curricular activities outside of school, and to see them flourish in their six years here on stage beaming with confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. Access to the performing arts and the Disney Musicals in Schools program gives our students opportunities to grow not only as learners, but as performers, and they are able to shine like the stars that they are!

My Project

These costumes and props will help our performers get into character and bring our production of The Little Mermaid Jr. to life! There is no greater feeling than seeing the excitement of our fourth and fifth graders get into their costume for the first time, and watching them perform their hearts out on stage. With these materials, our performers will take responsibility for their characters costumes before, during, and after every rehearsal and performance. The costumes will provide strong visual support for the story they are telling and help the performers portray their characters on their journey through The Little Mermaid Jr.!
