Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At Trenton Central High School, we are dedicated to fostering a supportive and nurturing environment where every student feels safe, valued, and cared for. However, many of our students face challenges beyond the classroom, including limited access to hygiene products, essential clothing, and nutritious meals. These unmet needs can hinder their ability to focus, engage, and succeed academically.

To address this, we are seeking support for our Mental Health with Warmth, Care and Hunger initiative, which provides:

- Hygiene products to promote personal well-being and confidence.

- Essential clothing items to ensure students are prepared for various weather conditions.

- Nutritious snacks and meals to support both physical health and cognitive function.

Students who lack these basic necessities often struggle with attendance, engagement, and academic performance. By providing these critical resources, we aim to create a more inclusive and equitable school environment where all students can thrive. This initiative is a key part of our mission at TCHS to cultivate a caring climate and culture, reinforcing the values of empathy, dignity, and respect.
