Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach 7th grade math at a Title I public middle school. Although it has only been the first week of school, my students are already so eager to learn and be helpful.

In my math lessons, I have embedded online tools and games to help engage and enrich learning of pre-algebra for my students.

In the last few school years, student learning has been upgraded through technology and online programs. Last year, I was able to get wireless mouses for my classroom through DonorsChoose. My students last year were so surprised and touched that people would donate to their classroom so I decided to try to fund this project.

Every year my classes end with a financial literary unit that uses online programs and games. Without a secure storage unit for our classroom Chromebooks, we do not have the necessary security and organization to maintain their consistent use. Thank you for visiting our page and donating!
