My Students

Most of our students are first generation immigrants from countries all over the world. They face many challenges on a daily basis such as conquering their language barrier, adjusting to life in a new country and all that comes with being a middle school student. An additional challenge they face trying to find access to a computer and printer to complete their daily assignments.

As a Title I school which is considered high poverty, many of my students do not have the luxury of having a computer and printer at home.

This is putting them at a severe disadvantage academically. It is very difficult for most of my students to complete homework assignments and projects when they are required to do additional research and print materials. It is my goal with this project to help my students resolve this issue.

My Project

My students are very committed to their education which is evident through our near one hundred percent attendance rate every day. Despite their dedication, a lot of them are still struggling to complete assignments because they simply do not have the resources they need.

Providing students the opportunity to print materials they need before school starts will help reduce a daily stressor that many of them face and provide endless opportunities for them to be successful.

We need black ink toner for our printer and printer paper so that students can complete their homework and project assignments. Providing my students with the proper resources needed to complete their assignments encourages their success.
