Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting funding to provide organic feminine hygiene products for the young women in my high school. Access to these essential items will reduce the stress and anxiety that can come from being unprepared or unable to afford such necessities. By ensuring they have access to safe, healthy products, we can help students maintain their dignity, confidence, and overall well-being, allowing them to stay engaged in school without unnecessary distractions.

The goal of this project is to promote equity in education by removing a basic but significant barrier that some students face.

Many of my students come from underserved communities where access to feminine hygiene products is inconsistent or unaffordable. By providing these organic products, we can ensure they not only have what they need but also that they are using safe, non-toxic options that are better for their health and the environment.

What makes my students special is their resilience and determination to succeed despite the obstacles they often encounter outside of the classroom. They are bright, capable young women who deserve to feel empowered and supported in every aspect of their lives, including their personal health. This project is about more than just providing products—it’s about creating a supportive, inclusive school environment where every student can thrive.
