Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in the Special Education office in a Title I charter school. Our students come from a lower socioeconomic area and face many challenges both in and out of the classroom.

My project will provide special education staff, service providers, students and families with a welcoming space to conduct confidential Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings.

The small modern Couch and dining set will provide families with a comfortable waiting or beverage/snack area while discussing their child's IEP. The laptop stand and power strip tower will assist with technology when multiples members of the IEP team, which includes students and families, are present. and, the floating shelves are to add a bit of beauty with décor!
