Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As an educator committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment, I hope to also provide and care for the whole well-being of my diverse students. Teaching at a Title 1 school brings students of diverse backgrounds together, each with varying needs.

Thus, providing supplies like tissues, hand sanitizer, soap, snacks and other basic needs will help alleviate some of the stressors students face.

I hope to create a wellness corner where students may access items needed to support their personal well-being. Nutritious snacks will help fuel students' bodies while cleaning supplies will ensure that our environment is maintained and ready for learning! These wellness items will provide opportunities for students to also advocate for their needs, feel supported in our classroom community, and be more ready to take on their day!
