My Project

Have you ever heard of the term "period poverty"? Those of us who work in public schools across the U.S. witness it first hand.

Even by high school, many young women experience shame, fear and embarrassment around getting their periods because they cannot afford or do not have access to enough or any maxi pads or tampons.

At our school we have a gender neutral bathroom that I have been personally stocking with maxi pads and tampons. I do this because I see the need and they are all gone by the end of the day when they are restocked.

I am hoping some generous donors will help me to purchase these products so I can keep up with the demand I am seeing.

Proper period care is a human right and a matter of dignity. Please help me to honor this human right of our female students who deserve and are entitled to it.
