This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a school nurse I use equipment such as stethoscopes, medical shears, and small toys for students when they are in need of emergency care, IEP medical assessment, and daily care of chronic illnesses. As a registered nurse it is essential we have the right equipment to better care for students that are going through these often difficult situations and keep them safe. This will not only improve my practice in schools but will give the necessary tools to better provide much needed care and improve student and staff safety.
