Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) teacher for grades Pre-K to 5th grade at our school. I teach all classes including general education, special education, and gifted students. We do a lot of hands-on projects in the classroom and always need more materials. The students are excited about class and eager to learn. The students use a variety of materials to complete their projects. I need materials to cover all grade levels that will help support my STEAM program.

My Project

In STEAM, our students use technology and art to help create blueprints for the projects that they are building. We use our iPads to create and edit blueprints. We also use them to search for real life examples of what we are building. For example, when learning about bridges, we look for examples of different types of bridges, such as suspension bridges and cable stayed bridges. We also use the iPads to watch videos that help us to model our projects.

We were lucky enough to receive 10 new iPads from the school, but they came without protective cases.

I am requesting cases to help protect and prolong the life of this expensive technology.
