My Students

It's almost Spring. Well, technically it is Spring, but you wouldn't know it. Soon, however, the flowers will start to bloom, and the weather will get warmer. The minds' of my students will start to wander; their eyes will steal glances out the windows.

It's going to take some pretty interesting planning to keep the attention of my eighth graders.

They're already dreaming about Summer, and beyond that, high school. They're a great bunch of students who are motivated to learn, and this Spring, after testing is over, I want to make that learning more interactive. I'm excited to send them off with some new skills that they can use in the years ahead.

My Project

We've just been given 20 iPad Minis thanks to generous donors like you. The next step is to make sure they're protected and can be easily connected to our classroom projector. I'm loading all of the iPads up with Pages and Keynote. The students will be able to work in groups to research topics related to our social studies units and create original documents and presentations in order to teach the class about their new areas of expertise.

The cases will ensure the iPads are well protected from bumps and scratches, and the adapter will allow the iPads to connect to our classroom projector for those awesome presentations.

I can't wait to announce our upcoming project to the students. It's going to be a great Spring!
