My Students

I love my students’ imagination and passion! Their energy for learning is unparalleled, and their enthusiasm is contagious.

My amazing bunch of 28 students come from different cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds that we celebrate every day.

Each student has a unique and valuable set of experiences that they contribute to the class. We have worked hard to build bonds with each other and consider our class to be like a family, while our classroom is like a home. Students truly feel safe to be themselves, take risks, and explore.

My Project

My students are hands-on learners and they love talking! There is no better way for them to learn social studies than by acting out historic plays. I have done some of these plays with classes in the past, and they love creating scenery with our Chomebooks and Promethean Board. We have even recorded videos and live streamed performances to share with parents or invited other classes to come see our performances.

We have struggled to make historically accurate homemade props and costumes in the past, so this project will hopefully help make these plays even more realistic and meaningful.

What's even better is that the students themselves came up with the prop list and idea for this project! Help us step up our plays to make them something my students will never forget!
