My Project

My students are coming to a very colorful classroom everyday. My class is filled with color everywhere, however, I need to inspire these kiddos through some fun visuals to promote learning about Women's History Month and social-emotional posters.

March is Women's History Month , commemorating and encouraging the study, observance and celebration of the vital role of women in American history.

It started as Women's Day, which was celebrated on Feb. 28, 1909, by a group of Manhattan socialists and suffragists in honor of the one-year anniversary of the garment strike led by the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union. This is part of our American history and our children should know about these courageous and brave women. I intend to use the posters as the introduction to the Women's History Month unit.

I need inspiration through famous quotes and growth mindset posters. My students will look at these posters daily and learn and be reminded of how many different women have gone through struggles and challenges to overcome. They also need an area rug for their quiet place to regroup their thoughts.
