My Project

I am so proud that many of my 3rd graders participated in the school-wide phase of this year's Scripps National Spelling Bee. One of them, at this writing, will be competing in the regional phase of this esteemed, national competition.

Giving all my students another tool, a book in hand, to explore and discover, especially on their own, words in their complexity and magic, is the ultimate gift for my growing wordsmiths.

Physical dictionaries are not obsolete. As someone so eloquently stated print dictionaries allow for serendipity. They encourage wonder.
