My Students

Many students in my classroom come in without any prior knowledge or experiences in an educational setting. Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. Seeing the progress my students make is nothing short of amazing.

They absolutely love hands-on tasks that are active and engaging. My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions!

My kids often face many barriers to education, but they know that when they are in school they are in a supportive environment where they can thrive both personally and academically.

My Project

This project focuses on promoting the emotional, intellectual, occupational, physical, and social domains of wellbeing. The students do not come in with the appropriate knowledge or coping skills to set them up for a healthy life. These materials will educate my students on their emotions, their behaviors, nutrition, and promote physical fitness.

Our school does not have a playground or any equipment.

The students only have a blacktop area and nothing to play with. With this project, I want to promote physical wellbeing by providing my students with some simple recess equipment.

The books focus on a variety of wellness domains. They provide an age-appropriate approach to teaching about health and wellness in an integrated fashion.
