My Project

We have been struggling with the limited time each day for our cooking labs in culinary arts. To maximize efficiency and organization and help students to feel better and perform well, we need to improve our storage and accessibility to our daily supplies as well as making the cleaning and cooking process easier. With only 3 minute passing periods, it's very difficult to have all the supplies set up each day. The island carts will help so that all the daily ingredients and other supplies have a place to go for every class period since each class prepares different recipes. This would promote efficiency and clear up workspaces.

Additionally, students are learning to adapt recipes since we don't have all the proper utensils or bakeware for baking or cooking.

Since our periods are short each day, we often have to split recipes over multiple days and do not have enough equipment for those purposes. The requests from this project will help us to work smarter not harder. We also have a wide range of students from GATE, at-risk, special needs, and more who are learning valuable life skills that can be greatly supported in this project. Thanks for your support!
