My Project

The materials I am requesting for my students are the last materials I will need for a learning space away from desks. This space already has a nice carpet with a few comfortable seating options (bean bag chairs, a couch made for littles, saucer chairs) and only requires a few more seats to accommodate the small math and reading groups I teach.

Alternative seating can promote participation, collaboration, and academic growth by providing students with a place where they can feel comfortable and safe and are able to choose from the seating options available--giving them a bit of control which, in turn, can improve student engagement.

My goal is to provide my students with an enriching environment that they are happy and comfortable expressing their thoughts in. I want nothing more than for my students to feel safe and excited to learn.
