My Project

My goal for this project is to provide high quality, research based learning opportunities for my students. In my elementary learning support classroom, I will provide social skill group instruction for students who struggle with self-regulation, anger management, empathy, self-awareness, and taking responsibility for their actions. My hope is to encourage learning these social skills and then help them generalize the skills in everyday situations.

During social skills group instruction, I hope to have students practice what to do in difficult situations.

Also, I hope to create a safe space for students to learn to express their feelings in an effective and socially appropriate manner.

Also, the storage bins included in this project will be a fun space for students to keep social skills journals.
