My Project

We are a project-based learning school. In our classroom we put an emphasis on research skills. We encourage our students to use books and the internet to help them learn more about various topics. For example, we recently did an activism unit where students learned about the Animal Care Center. They researched the organization, wrote PSAs, created posters, and ran a drive to give supplies to the organization.

We hope to continue engaging our student's in activism through projects.

In the upcoming months, students will be researching endangered animals. Also, we have begun to work on our keyboard skills. Students publish their writing by using Google Docs to help them with the editing process.

Our students enjoy engaging in work where they are choosing the topics. They are some of the sweetest kids who work well together and are collaborative. In addition, we will us the computers during our center work. This will allow us to assign specific assignments to target their needs.
