This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

10 years ago when I started teaching at my school, my classroom did not have a projector. I created a DonorsChoose project and sure enough, the generosity of strangers was evident. 10 years later, that projector has run its course and now I am in desperate need of a new one.

My students and I use the projector every single day.

I use the projector to explain my lessons and show educational videos. Without a projector, I cannot use the document camera or use the lessons in my computer. Without a projector, my Google slide lessons are useless because I cannot share them with my students.

It has been 2 days since our projector broke and my students ask me every day, "When are we getting a new one?" Once again, I am counting on the generosity of strangers to bring this essential teaching tool back to my classroom.
