My Students

Today we know that different students learn in different ways. Many students are visual learners and need that type of stimulation in order to become fully engaged in classroom instruction.

Our 7th grade scholars learn in an all girls public, charter school environment.

Students wear uniforms and strive to produce their best possible result within a structured and supportive learning environment. Many of the students travel from all over the county in order to be able to participate in such an exciting and challenging school. Because we are a charter school, we do not operate with the funding levels that most city and district schools enjoy, yet our students consistently produce higher test level scores that their district school counterparts. Our low budget constraints require that teachers and administrators must look to the corporate world and parent community for support.

My Project

Being able to utilize a projector will allow teachers to bring the global world into the classroom. Students will be able to view presentations and approved websites that allow for the lesson to come alive. Those students who require visual stimulation to become fully engaged in classroom instruction will benefit the most from the addition of this projector to the classroom.

This is my first year as a teacher, and I want it to be the best year possible for my students.

I am striving to engage all students and open up learning in every possible way. This projector will become an integral part of the daily learning in the education of all my students.
