My Students

Imagine having a computer lab, designed to teach children about technology, and not being able to use all the technology in your room.

My students attend an urban elementary school (K-8) in Pennsylvania.

They range in age from 5 to 15 years old and have an excitement toward technology that is tough to beat. They are creative and love to use computers in the lab to create presentations and work on projects.

My Project

The resource I am requesting is a new projector. The reason for this is that our computer lab has a Promethean Board but no projector to use it with. My goal is to teach all of my school's students, beginning in kindergarten, how to use the interactive white board. This will allow the classroom teachers to use the boards in their rooms without having to spend as much time going over how to use them.

This project is important because this will allow us to take full advantage of the technology in the computer lab.

I want to see students doing presentations using the board, preparing them for the technology that awaits them in 21st century workplaces.
