My Students

I have the privilege of teaching science to 6th - 8th graders in northwest Washington, D.C. My students love science! We do as many hands-on activities that we can and integrating technology in the classroom has allowed them to teach themselves and collaborate.

My students are amazing little scientists and nurturing their innate curiosity is the best part of my job.

They enjoy working together as they learn about the world. Videos and interactive labs tend to be their favorite. With the world always evolving, I expose my students to real world scenarios and problems to spark their engineering minds because I know they will be the ones to solve them.

My Project

In my classroom, my students can learn from one another just as much as they can learn from me. As I give them opportunities to engage in interactive labs, video chat with professionals in science fields, share their learning/products with their peers and participate in learning games/activities, their interest in science grows. Fostering this excitement can make all the difference in the life trajectory for my students. Having a technology device such as a projector allows my students to come together as they take their learning outside the 4 walls of our room. We will be able to collaborate and engage with one another as a class to further our learning. Without this device, my students will be at a disadvantage. Computers and the internet have not only changed the way students learn, but opens their minds to a world they may not experience otherwise. Please help me give my students the education they deserve.
