My Students

My 1st grade students LOVE using technology and using the computer in the classroom to learn more about the world around them.

I teach 1st grade at a charter school in Baltimore City.

I teach an inclusion class where I have students with special needs, gifted students as well as general education students in the same class. My students LOVE to learn - they are always excited when they walk in in the morning and are very into whatever we are learning. Because of this, I am always looking for new and exciting ways to bring the material alive for them!

My Project

I have my masters in educational technology and so love to include as much technology as possible into my teaching. Right now we only have 1 computer for the students and so whenever I want to do something interactive with the computer we all huddle around the small computer monitor to the interactive lesson. I love showing the students educational video clips, and use different software and games to keep them excited about their learning. By having a projector in the classroom, I could use even more instructional technology by hooking my computer up to it and showing the whole class what we are learning on a much larger scale. This would be much more interactive for the students and they would all be able to involved and pay attention much better because they would all be able to see what we are doing.

With your donation the students will be able to watch more quick video clips on a larger scale, play class games, complete activities, review material and so much more! It will allow my students learning go to the next level and increase their already huge love of learning!
