My Project

Imagine an evening when students, parents, teachers, community, and staff gather atop a blanketed carpet of grass, at the end of a rigorous day of learning, breathing in the calming scents of fresh lavender and rosemary in their school garden, nibbling on chef-kid created garden snacks, awaiting the light of the silver screen. When creating an outdoor classroom for my school, I designed a designated area to project technology with the specific intent to bring tech into the garden to increase student engagement, build the school/neighborhood community, and grow sustainable support. I envision an environmental film festival produced and run by our talented students.

An outdoor pop-up cinema nestled in the school garden will add technical capabilities to project engaging educational documentaries, environmental stories, and student-created shorts to our school community.
