My Students

My classes engage in project-based learning throughout the year. Projects are a great way for students to learn and be creative and allow them to show their work in fun, artistic ways.

My classroom is full of intelligent, college bound, young ladies and gentlemen who are eager to learn.

They come from ethnically diverse backgrounds and a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds. They attend an academically challenging, rigorous high school that is consistently ranked as one of the best in the city. This is a remarkable achievement given the facilities and resources we have at our disposal. In a school that has a social studies background, my students enjoy coming to school and learning about history through project-based learning. Many attend enrichment classes on the weekend just because they want to.

My Project

I am requesting basic classroom supplies to help students create beautiful projects, such as construction paper, markers, glue, tape and pens. My students will use the materials I have requested to make fun and creative projects showcasing the research they have done throughout each unit. Rather than write a paper, they will be able to showcase their creativity and hang it in the classroom and hallways to allow others to see their hard work also.

This project will allow students to produce creative projects without worrying about the cost of buying the materials themselves.

They can be proud of what they have made and share it with others by displaying it around the school
