My Students

I teach various technology to 400+ K-8 students. Each grade level has different technology available to them and are eager and curious to learn each and every day. I am looking to create a STEM/STEAM friendly environment in my classroom to keep our students motivated and interested in the ever changing technology that they are surrounded by and to get them thinking of future career opportunities that are involved with technology.

By providing students the opportunities to explore with different technologies, such as coding, robotics and electronics, we are allowing students to open their minds experience new topics they may not have had an interest in before.

My Project

We have recently been trying to incorporate a more STEAM friendly environment at our school, but don't have all of the necessary funds to get this started.

We need Ozobots to help us reach our goal of Project STEAM.

By adding an additional 8 Ozobots to our technology classes, we are moving towards having a full classroom set of Ozobots. Ozobots will be used by students to explore different concepts in math, such as area, perimeter, probability and much more for older students, but also allow for creative coding in younger students who might not be able to grasp the complete concept of coding. Ozobots are unique in that they allow for creativity of all students while focusing on problem-solving, collaboration and communication, while experiencing curiosity, excitement and competition!
