Project Smile: Smiley Face Rug for K-1 Special Ed Room

Help me give my students a cozy place to sit for lessons, read alouds, and our daily meditations! My special education Kindergarteners and First graders would be so grateful to have a beautiful smiley face carpet!

My Project

As my special education classroom continues to grow, we are in need of a big, comfy, cozy rug. My kindergarteners and first graders love listening to read alouds and a rug would allow them to sit closer to me, as well as much more comfortably. A rug will also help them build social skills, as I will be able to run additonal play center time and pretend play time on the carpet when it is not in use for formal instructional purposes. This rug will make a huge difference in their academic and social-emotional learning.

My goal is to provide a welcoming, comforting classroom that can be a safe place for my students.

This rug will be a major component in that. :)
