My Students

Take a look around you, chances are at least two forms of technology within arms reach of where you are sitting. Unfortunately, in our class, we have next to none.

My kindergarten students live in Teaneck, NJ, minutes away from New York City.

Teaneck is a city alive with diverse families of all colors, shapes, makes, and sizes. Many students come from low-income home, with a number receiving free or reduced lunch.

My Project

Our classroom is a place where learning comes alive. Each day I try to help the students learn by creating engaging lessons. However, I am limited due to the lack of technology in our room. Armed with only a desktop computer, it is often a challenge to engage 20 kindergarten students. Through the use of a Epson classroom projector, I hope to project many of the stories, games, and activities on a projection screen for my students. This will help numbers come alive, make words dance, and most of all, get my students to succeed!

Students today learn differently than years before.

They need to be engaged in what they are learning, through technology and active participation. Many of us take the technology we have at our fingertips for granted. Please help us anyway that you can!
