This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are so happy to be back in school, even though it's still through distance learning. They come to Zoom meetings on time and are respectful, helpful, and eager to learn.
They are working hard to check for daily assignments and get them turned in.
Many of our students are English Language Learners and they stay after class to ask for help logging in or for help with things they don't understand. They are dedicated learners and I couldn't be more proud of them.
My Project
This beautiful classroom design will bring nature into the classroom. This is perfect for my third graders because we learn about water conservation and endangered animals as part of our curriculum. The calm and peaceful eucalyptus branches will help us feel connected to the outdoors, and the colorful succulents will remind us to conserve water and be conscious of preserving the earth’s natural resources. I can also use these boards as backdrops when presenting to my students at home. I will send a small succulent home with each virtual learner to help them feel more connected to the classroom.
My dream is to create a space like the one in my cover photo that will bring peace and comfort to my students.
A space that they can be proud of and that will create an environment where they can feel peaceful, calm, and happy. I can't wait to see their faces when they walk into this beautiful classroom.
