My Project

STEM instruction has become a large part of learning for the neurotypical learners in the education system today. It is just as important for neurodivergent students as it is for neurotypical students to engage in STEM activities. Providing my students with opportunities to create, develop and plan is possible with their abilities. The Magna-Tiles requested in this project allow the students in my classroom this opportunity. Some examples of ways to use these tiles would be:

- create a pattern (ABABAB, ABCABC, ABBA, ABBA)

- build a house

- develop a larger shape from these smaller shapes

- construct an item from a story

These opportunities are crucial in developing critical thinking skills for ALL students!
