As you may or may not be aware, we seek to provide an inquiry- and project-based environment for your child. We are Deweyan scholars who believe that, although your child must still follow the state-mandated curriculum, there is still room for creativity and choice in their learning. But this requires supplies that we do not have. So far we have been eke-ing by with begging our art teachers to borrow their supplies. You are giving us (your children!) a chance to be autonomous with our own art and paper supplies.
This has been the toughest year to ask for supplies and we are so grateful for the families who have contributed to our classroom.
This will be our final ask, we promise. We cannot wait to share with you the projects that are on the horizon--namely we are creating a timeline in our classroom to contextualize our learning. Thank you so much for considering donating to our classroom and your child's education.
