Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Kagan Structures have been shown to increase student engagement, collaboration, and retention of information. This professional Development will provide teachers with the tools and strategies to incorporate Kagan structures in their classrooms.

Students in the whole school will benefit when the teachers begin to use Kagan structures in their classrooms.

Students will collaborate more, interact with each other more, and learn from each other as they become more familiar with and use these structures in their daily learning.

The folders, pouches and floor dots will help teachers create and organize materials during the professional development and practice with them. Once they have created their materials and have learned the strategies, they will be prepared to incorporate the strategies in their classrooms.
