Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are very creative and love to build and craft. I taught for a few summers at the Arizona Science Center and loved teaching coding with this set. I saw problem-solving skills developing, using outside resources and previously learned skills to add more elements to a project, such as familiar video game mechanics and math skills, and best of all, 100% engagement from all students! (Who doesn’t love LEGOS?) This would be a great hands-on group project for our technology and inventors units! I had students already discussing related STEM careers by the end of this class. Such a beautiful experience!
