Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

After teaching Kindergarten I am now going to start fresh and teach 4th grade ICT students in a new school. The school is a title one school with 98% free lunch. The children are either in shelters or low income homes. My class has a wide range of reading & math levels. The classroom I have been given doesn't have the technology available for 29 students. The materials I am requesting are needed to enhance the students' learning and their ability to learn to read, write and understand/perform mathematical concepts. My plans are to transform this classroom from an ideal classroom into a reality. My dream is to design a creative space that will promote student creativity and a place to call a home.

My Project

My ICT class consists of 28 students some whom are dyslexic and have ADHD. The classroom is not very big. Which means there are 6-8 students at a table. When it comes to independent work students don't have much privacy.

These privacy partitions will give students the chance to stay focus, get rid of distractions, help them concentrate, and complete a task that they would otherwise have a hard time completing due to lack of privacy.

The privacy partitions will be a blessing for our classroom because it will also help us to reimagine learning area or zones. It will create centers that are enclosed and functional!
