This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A painting is worth a thousand words but having access to a printer and copy paper is worth just as much or if not, more, to my students! We need paper and toner to keep on printing out our assignments and projects.

My 8th grade students attend an at-risk school in a high-poverty area.

They do not always have access to resources or materials at home which are needed to be successful in school. We also do not always have a working printer or copier in the school for them to use. When there are no working resources available to them, it is difficult to expect them to always come prepared. Providing them access to these resources in my classroom would help them become better students and successful in their classrooms.

My Project

My students need printer paper and toner for their classroom projects and assignments that must be typed and printed out. Having access to these materials in school will take the pressure off of my students trying to find a way to make sure their assignments are completed. They would improve their efforts of becoming better prepared and submitting their assignments on time.

Supporting this project means that you are supporting the education and efforts of the students I work with.

You will make the access to a printer with the necessary materials more attainable. My students will be able to come to school better prepared with their assignments and projects they need to turn in. You are supporting them in their efforts to be better students in and outside of the classroom.
