My Students

My students are a wonderful group of learners who come from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds. While my students come from hard-working families, some of them are lacking the necessities to be successful in today's world. Many of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch, but all of them love to learn. My students are creative, independent thinkers who are maturing and gaining a much-needed strong foundation for middle school. My goal is for each student to improve as much as possible and build the most solid foundation possible for their future education.

My Project

My wonderful students LOVE to write stories. We write almost every day and the students type up their stories on their Chromebooks. Once students have edited them with their peers and then with me, they publish them into books. I print each story out for each child so they can cut and paste the words onto construction paper and add some of their own art. When I say "Writing Time" they all say "Yay!" This works best if our classroom printer always has ink so I can print their work. This ink will keep my students writing, creating and most of all, engaged!
