This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are among the youngest group of learners at our school in Bronx, NY. We are 4 and 5 years old, and we love to explore and create every day. We especially love art, stories, science, and problem-solving.

We are enthusiastic, reflective, and resilient and now we are coming back into the classroom.

We come to school every day ready to try out our ideas, ready to share our passions, and ready to learn new skills, and we want to make sure we stay healthy and able to learn throughout the year.

My Project

My kindergarten students have a lot to say and your generous donations will help them tell their stories to each other their friends, families, and the world.

I have asked for a printer, some ink and paper so that we can make our own books in the classroom.

These books will include photos of themselves, their friends and their very own artwork. We will write the books to use on our path to becoming readers, readers who love books, readers who choose reading, and readers who know that they too are the authors that can tell their stories to the world.
