This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What makes them so special? I think the better question may be, how do I help them realize how special they really are? I work at a Title 1 school that serves a community full of culturally and academically diverse students. As a special education teacher, I have come across students who have a range of learning disabilities. No matter the disability, my students have shown me that there is one thing they all share, and that is, the need to be understood. Year after year, my students show me the true meaning of teaching, and why I do what I do!

My Project

There are so many times where we have to cancel lessons or downgrade materials because the school printer is not working! Student work deserves to get showcased and original material created through technology shouldn’t be a problem to reproduce. The option to print in color would be a phenomenal addition to our classroom. The high volume printing would also allow a classroom of 30 kids to print liberally. I want to inspire my students’ creative genius. My students are easily inspired by technology and really enjoy using PowerPoint. I’d love to see their projects come alive, in color, and accesible during class presentations.
